How Steve Angello Changed this Families Life
How Steve Angello Helped Allie
Allie was just two months old when she was diagnosed with the liver disease “Biliary Atresia”. If not treated, the life expectancy of a child with this disease is no more than 2 or three years.
The family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the medical costs of Allies liver transplant and treatment. She will be a patient of the Children’s Hospital in LA for the next 18 years, and be on anti rejection medicine for the rest of her life.
The father of Allie reached out to Steve through twitter informing him about his daughter and the GoFundMe page. Steve promptly replied within a minute assuring the father he would check it out.
Steve sent out another tweet a few minutes later informing the family he had donated, and the amount is nothing short of amazing. Steve managed to cover 1/3 ($5000) of the $15,000 goal with his single donation. He then tweeted to his followers asking them to “help someone today”. A few hours later and they have almost reached their goal of $15,000.
The mother of Allie has taken to Facebook to say the following;
We have been blown away by all the love and support from family, friends and even strangers! There is really no way to express our gratitude to all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Let’s help someone today! I just donated. http://t.co/miQrsEi1e1
